Last week Sweetie and I went to the movies. She wanted to see a romantic comedy, I’m usually game but I wanted to something with some fighting and killing so we went to see District 9, a new science fiction movie.
Sweetie summed it up nicely, “An alien movie where you cheer for the aliens.” I don’t want to give much away, lets just say this is one great move. I loved this, Sweetie hated it. I don’t recommend it for mommy bloggers or their children. Their husbands on the other hand, go for it, kids should stay home.

On this one I will listen the advice of your sweetie, however it looks like a movie that my sweetie will love at the very first moment. I think movie choice is quite a gender thing..
Brilliant movie. We sit in one of the biggest theaters at Cinemark….not as big as Imax, but close. We sit where we always do, the row with the metal rails so we can put our feet up. The action from the handheld camera gave me a bad case of motion sickness, and I thought I was gonna toss my popcorn/diet coke conglomerate into the aisle. Still, great unique story, very good acting, Will buy the video.
I’m with Sweetie. Romantic comedy would suit me much better.
