Halloween 2010 #1

Halloween started early. A lady I work with brought her two grandchildren to the office. Her grandson posed proudly for a photo.

His sister was having none of it.

They liked my atomic fireballs though.

Later I went to the Halloween Party SuperPizzaBoy’s school was having. Yep, you heard me, Halloween Party! Yeah private school. For those of you aghast at the thought of a Haloween Part, as far as I know none of the little devils has turned into a satan worshiper, yet.

Sweetie was there helping out. She is here, there, and everywhere. She doesn’t stay still long enough to get a non-blurred photo.

They had a pumpkin raffle and I won two of them.

You should have heard all the grumbling, “I can’t believe he won two of them.” Hey I bought five tickets and only won two pumpkins. I was counting on at least three.

But you know what the big news of the night was?

Bonnie and Clyde made a special appearance!

Aren’t they cute? Bonnie especially is very sweet.

I just love Halloween. How is yours going?

We don’t ‘do’ Hallowe’en. As a teacher I did it for too many years, all day, then with my kids at night. I used to love the learning activities: how many white things can you name?
Or phonics work with young kids: name things that rhyme with ‘boo’.

We haven’t many neighbours (PTL!) and haven’t had ANY kids visiting in cottage country in years.

Your photos are delightful, tho’! Good memories.

These are great Halloween pictures. Love your pumpkins and Bonnie and Clyde are very cute.
Living here in the boonies the only trick or treaters we get are Farmer Brown’s cows!
    Hope our weekend is BOOtiful!

I would have said England doesn’t do Halloween but how wrong am I?
Today the supermarket was awash with scarey stuff for kids to pester Mum to buy! We must finally be catching up with you.
Love the Bonnie and Clyde pictures, hope it’s just a violin in the case……….

We had a party in my classroom without costumes or candy (wellness policy) and had to call it a “harvest celebration”. Yup. Public school. It was fun, though. Games, nutritious snacks and prizes. The kids had a good time.

This looks like fun. It’s so silly to deprive kids of great fun on a holiday that they love.

    Ciao,

Aw, Bonnie and Clyde are too cute.
You’re a lucky guy to win 2 pumpkins.
I love atomic fireballs, too. Maybe I’ll get some when I go trick or treating. 🙂

Actually Clyde looks pleased as punch to have such a cute Bonnie! Also, Sweetie makes a great Hippie Gal. Where is your costume, Yogi? Boo to you and your Family!

So what exactly was your costume, Yogi? Sweetie and SPB/Bonnie look great. We have out 1 bag of candy just in case a trick or treater shows up this year (6 years living in the country and 0 trick or treaters.)
