I was in midtown Tulsa yesterday so I popped into the Philbrook museum for quick stroll around their gardens. Above is “American Hippo” by John Kearney.

The hippo is quite a creation. Amazing that all the metal pieces end up looking like an animal.
Love that last photo. The scene is beautiful and the reflection is great.

Ha! That’s as American as a hippo could get, right? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Very cool sculpture. I LOVE to come upon stuff like that.

What a space! “The Arts” are good for sustaining such beautiful spaces. A real treasure. If am I ever in your neck of woods, your post made me want to visit the museum. Great photos!

    Peace,

What a wonderful hippo – his reflections are amazing.

I especially love the shot of the fountain … the light reflecting so beautifully in the droplets.
