Getaway to Eureka Springs

This past weekend Sweetie and I took a much needed trip together to Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

In a town of great B&B’s I think we stayed at the best. They brought a delicious hot breakfast to our door every morning.

We’re going back later this year. Check out Evening Shade for details.

We had a great time. We saw some funky old buildings.

Eureka Springs is less than an hour from our home. We haven’t been over there in a year or so. I make it a point to check out the Susan Morrison gallery and I always stop by the Silly Chile for some hard to find BBQ sauces. Glad you enjoyed thew week-end. Looks like the weather will keep us all home this week.

This past weekend was a good time to go with the weather being what it was. We haven’t been to Eureka Springs in several years but we always enjoy the town when we go.

I don’t even remember the last time my husband and I had a getaway, it’s been a while 🙁

That looks like a great little town with so much to do and see! You have reminded me that I haven’t gotten away since last summer.

I’m so glad you all finally went to Eureka Springs. I love ER.

And, my suggestion is: Try a different B&B each time. Seriously. We’ve stayed at about 4 or 5 different ones there. We loved the Tweedy House when we stayed there.

    Loved seeing your pictures.

Sounds like a place that just wants to be refreshing. What a great, optimistic name. I sure do like that harp. Music can come from the craziest of places!

My daily getaway has been inside Neil Gaiman’s novels inside my Kindle. A beautiful and portable escape!

I think I’ve read about this town, aren’t they know for their gardens? We’ve been on the run lately, upt to the California/Oregon border, down to LA to care for Michael and next it will be Yosemite. Boy, am I getting behind in blog hopping.

Oh, and love the hats! You two can definitely pull off the look.
