It looks to me like somebody has a chip on their shoulder. I really couldn’t find any connection between twerps and chickens on Google so I don’t quite get this. It makes a striking sign though, especially for a car wash.

Is twerp an American word? We use it over here. I’ve just had to look it up and in my OED it says “origin unknown”. Curiouser and curiouser…….
So all those “little twerp” comments from my dad means that he was calling me a chicken? What did it say on Google? I guess I’ve been called worse.

The sign is memorable, anyway, even if the meaning is a little obscure. I was trying to find meaning, I guess, because at first I read ‘chirp’ (insted of chip) on his shoulder!
I think the bantam-weight rooster is there to remind customers to pay for the car wash…or else!
