Baseball at ONEOK Field

Last Thursday SuperPizzaBoy and I went to see the Tulsa Drillers play baseball at ONEOK Field downtown.

(“Hey, isn’t that Yogi and SPB sitting behind home plate?”)

We had a great time. I got to watch some great baseball, son got some pizza and ice cream. (Don’t tell his Mom!)

I ask you what kind of nerd scores the game?

Yeah, really, what of it?

Son was getting kind of bored with things until the 7th inning stretch when he came to life. First because, he loves to sing and this being Oklahoma we sang both “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” and “Oklahoma.” Son loves Oklahoma.

Second, I promised him we would go home at the end of the inning.

My hubby scores the game too! He’s a big time baseball nerd. He bleeds Cubbie blue. We need to go to a Driller’s game. We haven’t been since they opened up the new ballpark. Looks like a super fun time!!

Looks like a great day — particularly for the baseball nerd! I would have probably been singing with SPB, reaching for ice cream and asking when we were going to leave!! Enjoy your day!

Those pic of SPB singing are AWESOME!!!! I hate to admit this, but I’ve never been to the new ONEOK field. The rest of my clan has, but not me. Hmmm…now that I type that, that just doesn’t seem fair.
    Happy Tuesday!

Good times. We have a single A club, in our valley, the Lake Elsinore Storm. We always have fun there.

I like singing Oklahoma, too, and I’d also be happy to go home after the 7th inning.
SPB looks like he’s having fun. It’s nice to have some special father-son time.

I love baseball, especially in the new ONEOK park. maybe Sue and U can join you guys for a game soon.

I downloaded a book to my kindle to have something interesting to read while we are at thr BILs. “The Horse Boy, a father;s quest to heal his son” by Isaacson. NPR did an interview with the author and it sounded good. Check it out on Amazon.

Never been to a game but my husband watches on TV. And boy, some games are endless… I don’t blame your son, whatever an inning is I would have gone home after a while!

    The pictures are cool though.

Who knew you were such a nerd? I had no clue. But I can tell you one thing…YOU NEED TO WORK ON PENMANSHIP. That was bad. Like really bad.

Pizza and ice cream. Great combo. I love ballpark food. It’s so bad too.

    Pizzaboy is such a cutie!
