Moonburn

Summery Moon
(Photo taken mid June)

It’s been hot here in Oklahoma this summer. Yesterday we set a new record in Tulsa at a high of 107F. The sun burns hot during the day and now the moon is burning bright.

Great shot but we currently have a waning crescent moon so not recent.

For some reason we left our cool high altitude cabin and returned to Lincoln where triple digits are expected today. Bad planning on our part.

And another reminder for me to enjoy Seattle!! It is 60 here right now and the high for the day will be 72!! I love it! And we have cloudless, blue, blue skies! Wish I could send you some!

So hot even the moon looks like you could fry an egg on it!

Last week’s record heat and humidity in my neck of the woods, had me walloped!

You’re right: That moon looks HOT!

    WHEN PLANETS PLUMMET

    When planets plummet
    And comets careen,
    It’s the strangest sight
    You ever have seen.

    When drunk stars stagger
    And comets collide,
    It’s time to look up
    As you go outside

    To stare at the sky
    Where the strangest sight
    Is the moon-faced thing
    That you see at night.

Wow, that is a bright moon. Great shot.
All that heat must be getting old. Hope that moon isn’t heating up the nights too much.

It’s hot here too, but what else is new? I’m ready for fall and we haven’t even hit the hottest part of the summer yet. This picture is absolutely gorgeous! I wish I could get a good picture of the moon like that.

It has been hot here, too. Nothing like your temps, but incredibly humid, especially sitting here in the middle of a wetland!
I’m off to the beaches of Muskoka next week.
    Looking forward to that.
Preposting, but might put up the odd photos of grandkids!
    Keep cool.

That is one awesome photograph Yogi, and I am thinking of you all in that dreadful heat as I sit here snuggling as the rain and wind whirl all around…..
