Black Friday Geocaching

SuperPizzaBoy and I decided to celebrate Black Friday by Geocaching.

The first one we tried was “Mental.” My GPSr said it was in the middle of this road. The description of the cache said to grasp with both hands.  We couldn’t find it. If you spot it, let me know.

The second was not too far away by one of the best geocache hiders in Tulsa. I’m not going to say who he is or where we were because I don’t want to give it away.

When I’m frustrated finding a cache I always wonder if eating the berries would give make it easier for me. I’ve never tried it.

I looked everywhere. SPB took this picture of me up in a tree. It was quite a ways up there, fifteen or twenty inches maybe. Sometimes I think maybe the young earth creationists are right. I mean if I had any relation at all to a primate I would have at least one climbing gene. Don’t you think? I can sure put a death grip on a branch though.

SPB found the next cache nearby.

The fake snake is a nice touch. I’ll have to try that sometime. Back in the day, that was a favorite office prank to play on somebody. Put a rubber snake in somebody’s desk. Nowdays you’d get in trouble for doing that. Of course, HR departments now don’t have any people so you have to log into their web site to see what your self service punishment is.

The last place we went to was pretty popular. There was a group on the right of the tree and the guy on the right. It was getting cold so SPB and I decided to go home and try it again some other day.

What did you do on Black Friday?

You guys do have fun — even when you don’t find anything! I had a quiet day because Black Friday is one day I try not to leave the house! I hate to shop even when there are no crowds — which was not the case yesterday!!! Enjoy your weekend!

I think that is a much better way to spend Black Friday than going shopping.
Hubby and I took our Christmas gifts (I know, it’s a bit early) down to the pond for some bird photography.

All you need is a vine and your middle name could be Tarzan – most impressed you got as high as 15 inches!!!

What did I do on Black Friday? I read about the woman with the pepper spray trying to get the object of her desire before others!

Love the fake snake picture, looks a mind challenging hobby too. No holiday downunder on Black Friday, but I think we should celebrate Thanksgiving too by the look of that beaut feast.

ANYTHING would be better than going shopping on Black Friday. Actually, it looks like you spent a nice day in the out of doors.
We were blessed with lovely weather on Thanksgiving and Friday too. Cute post. Mickie 😉

Do you think that first geocache might be something like Harry Potter’s Platform 9 3/4?

Our son HATES spiders. When WM was closing out their Halloween stuff I picked up some small, very real looking black spiders. The next time our son visits I plan for him to find one in his bed. If you feel an earthquake on Christmas Eve, that just might be him.

We didn’t get up crazy early to go shopping yesterday but we did go shopping in Tulsa. I think we timed it right – after the crazy people had left and before the 2nd wave hit.
