I’m afraid I’ve been burning everybody out on photos from my Seattle trip so here is a photo from last year’s vacation to Gulf Shores, Alabama. We had a great time in Seattle but urban vacations although fun are not very restful so we are probably headed to the beach next year. Gulf Shores was great but we like to go different places.
Do you have a recommendation on a good beach vacation destination? We are definitely interested in what you have to say.
There’s a beach along the Colorado River by Phantom Ranch that’s really a nice place to board a raft. 😉
St. George Island on Florida’s gulf coast. It’s very quiet and restful there and the beach is beautiful.
I agree with Lois….and also, any beach on Florida’s gulf coast is beautiful. Love the beach photo.

Carolina Coast would be my vote as well. Love the photo it is so pretty.
i am not a beach goer, but i highly recommend the NJ Shore because its fun and there’s a lot to see/do .. also Gulf Shores/Destin .. the FLA panhandle but dont go in August .. August is the month for storms…
I can strongly recommend Maui – January to December so you can also do some humpback whale watching. I have experienced rain but never been cold there:-)
I think it’s nice to see a beach outside of California, Florida, and Hawaii.
