Skywatch Friday – Oklahoma Style

2014-05-10 All Star Skywatch #2 HDR

The sky at Logan’s riding stable last Saturday. It was a little breezy outside but hey this is Oklahoma we get nervous if the wind isn’t blowing.

It made me think of the lyrics from “Oh What a Beautiful Morning” from the musical Oklahoma”

All the sounds of the earth are like music
All the sounds of the earth are like music
The breeze is so busy it don’t miss a tree
An’ a ol’ weepin’ willer is laughin’ at me

Oh, what a beautiful Mornin’
Oh, what a beautiful day.
I’ve got a beautiful feelin’
Everything’s goin’ my way.
Oh, what a beautiful day!

Even if you are not in Oklahoma, try to have a great day! 😉

Ah, I do love your big blue, blue skies and memories of the musical — one of my favorite!! And,this morning we have blue ones, too!! Thanks as always for sharing the beauty! Hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend!!

My Mother used to sing that song to wake me up when I was a child, Yogi! It does look beautiful there. Thankfully our foot of snow melted yesterday and we have warmer weather and blue skies, here, too! 🙂

Today I’ll have to agree with you, because this week the winds were a hot desert wind (nothing like in OK), and the last 2 days temps. have been soaring up in the coastal areas to approx. 100 degr.

We have seen blue skies AND the sun over the past couple of days and doesn’t it make you feel good? I love your OK skies, they’re HUGE.

Lovely mix of lyrics and huge blue sky, from a dramatic one till to blue ones… As I see the changeable weather is all over… Thanks for sharing them and the very charming song lines: “I’ve got a beautiful feelin’
    Everything’s goin’ my way.
    Oh, what a beautiful day!”
Have a pleasant and sunny weekend!

I don’t know if you know this about me or not, but I am an Oklahoma musical junkie. I know every song by heart. That Oklahoma sky is beautiful, but it can be scary too.

Gorgeous photos, Logan looks real good astride his horse. And that is one of my favorite musicals. I will be singing that tune all night.
