Skywatch Friday – Storm Season

DSCN5427

Unedited photo taken in late March 2016 to the east.

It is that time of year again in Oklahoma. The storms are spinning up in west Texas in the early afternoon and then head northwest gathering energy as they go and generally hitting Tulsa well after dark. Wednesday was one of those days. My sister’s employer decided to send her to Tulsa that day right in the path. Great timing guys!!

Wind, lightning, rain, and some power outages. Just another Spring day in paradise, but I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I like the ruggedness of this image. Nicely captured Yogi.

The storm yesterday was awful…I swear I am so tired of these bad storms! I can’t imagine living where you do though, you are smack dab in the middle of the alley. We are right on the edge..but close enough it seems to get every one that blows through.

I assume your sister was OK though…. I’m such a wimp when it comes to weather like that. Scary.

The sky looks pretty though, not as ominous as I would think with that storm coming. I can see where you would need to be a good skywatcher where you live == to be able to read those warning cloud signs. Thanks for hosting.

Hello, I hope your sister was OK traveling in the storm’s path. Great sky capture. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!
