Skywatch Friday – Autumn is Coming Edition

Every morning I drive by this greenbelt. At Spring and Fall the sun rises just perfectly.

My “cousin-in-law” Cheri Lu took this photo at her family’s ranch in Western Oklahoma. I love the big skies out there. Even with power lines.

Another scene from the bike ride Heather and I took last weekend. Autumn is Oklahoma’s best season as far as I am concerned. It is really long period of warm days and cool nights. It is time for backyard fires and camping.

I’m linking with Skywatch Friday

Tree henge! There is just something about September and October sunsets. No “big skies” in upstate New York, though. The first (and only) time I ever visited Montana, I was amazed at big skies. It really is “a thing”.

    Alan,

I’m glad power lines don’t bother you. I enjoy the views of others who capture them but when I do it, then it drives me insane and I don’t need to be any crazier than I already am. lol I like how you described the skies there as “big Oklahoma skies”. I reckon with the flat terrain it gives the illusion of a wide open sky where here in the east we have mountains and hills to block our view. SWF allows me to experience our world through the eye of the camera taking me near and far. I’m always enlightened by the beauty that others share with me each week, too. What a wonderful world we live in!
