Skywatch Friday – Weather Deliverance!!

20180120-103940-2

The weather finally broke and the sun came out and the sky was almost springlike. After our extended cold spell I never realized how warm 36 degrees could feel so warm.

Before hand we had day after day of this, and this is at the end of the day!! Ever hear of Lake Effect Snow? One morning we had “Refinery Effect Snow” the condensation from the cooling towers caused snow on the west side of downtown.

We are finally getting some clouds,  the days are getting longer. We are a long ways from Spring but I am getting hopeful.

What is going on where you live?

I am linking with Skywatch Friday.

I know how you feel, same sort of thing going on here where I’m wearing spring coats and no gloves when it’s in the high 30s. A beautiful weekend ahead before it dips back down. Hope the weather cooperates over by you.

I would love to see that blue sky in my world, lol. It does make a difference to get a few sunny days during a long winter, doesn’t it? Your skies look very lovely.

Hello, I love the view of the sky through the trees, very pretty. The sun is setting at least a half hour later here now, the days are getting longer. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

It finally snowed a little here. Every little bit helps. I sure hope it isn’t all going to come in April and May (I’m leaving for the beach in May though, so I guess it doesn’t matter.) Beautiful sky shots of your “warming ” trend.

I am afraid to answer your last question lest you throw something at me, but here goes: We are in our Florida room at our computers at 7:30 p.m. The doors are wide open onto the screen porch. The temperature is perfect.

I’m glad you got a bit of a weather break although that warm temperature does not sound at all warm to me. Very interesting about the ‘refinery effect’ snow.

Refinery condensation, wow! It would be something to see, but I wouldn’t want it to fall on me. Today I was working out in the yard in low 50 temps. The Husband thought it was freezing. Very warm compared to your area. 🙂

Bring me the sun! I’m not the only one thinking that 32 or 36 degree Fahrenheit is warm! NYC was super cold before now we’re good as long as it’s not subzero 🙂

I live in “lake effect snow” country and I had to show my husband the “refinery effect” picture (he’s an amateur meteorologist). Loved the picture and he was impressed, too.
