I went on a late afternoon hike on Tulsa’s Turkey Mountain recently. Came across this lake. I don’t what it is but all the ponds on Turkey Mountain are called lakes. I don’t know what the official name of it is, doesn’t matter, does it?

I guess I always assumed that a pond was completely man made and probably less than an acre or two while a lake had to be large enough to launch a boat of some size. I think I would put the limit on a lake to anything over 10 acres, but that’s just me. Very nice image.
