Ruby Tuesday 2 – Boots

New Boots

Tada!!! My new pair of boots courtesy of the world’s great test MIL, “Nana.” I decided if I was going to get cowboy boots I might as well get something colorful. There is a lot to picking out the boots besides the design. Such as what kind of heel do you want? And also what kind of toe, blunt, rounded, pointed, just what? Plus the sole. Leather soles, due to my strange feet are a thing of the past. These are synthetic, the literature says that they” have superior resistance to manure than regular leather or rubber soles.” What!!

These boots are a fashion item. It has been several years since I’ve been on a horse. These are only my second pair of cowboy boots ever. I guess that if I wanted to I could claim that I am “country.” I wouldn’t fool anybody though. I’m a city guy. I’ve been a city guy my whole life, even when I lived out in the boonies. Way out in the boonies. I grew up with country people, shoot, my sister and her husband are country and so is their youngest daughter. I know how to saddle a horse, I like country music, I used to drive a pickup truck. But nope, I’m not country. From my earliest memories, I felt most comfortable when we drove down from the mountains and into Phoenix or Albuquerque. I knew a city is where I wanted to live.

Are you country? Do you have a pair of cowboy boots?

I do have boots, but none as colorful as yours….and I have no clue as to their manure resistance.
I am a bit like you in that I like all things country but prefer to live in a city.

Wowza! Those sure are colourful. I like them! I don’t have cowboy boots, but Hubbers has a couple of pair in much more subdued hues!

@Driller – I hear you. I imagine my country relatives and friends have rolled their eyeballs clear back in their sockets. But hey, I’m not trying to kid anybody either.

Yep, I have cowboy boots, but they’re best used for mud and manure kicking, not for fashion! Yours are definitely the fashion variety.

Now I want to see a picture of you wearing your new boots!! What a hoot you are!! And thanks for the giggles, they are most welcome these days!!

You should be able to do some shit kicking with those beauties.

I’m country, but cowboy boots are uncomfortable. I’ll stick with my hikers.

That is one nice boots! I don’t own one as it’s too hot to wear it here in Singapore but still, there are people who wear them here.

Congrats brother! I am country and I love boots! You didn’t mention what brand they are. You’re like me, I prefer the blunted toe. Good job.

Don’t be wearing those in the barnyard Yogi! Everywhere you go eyes will be on those boots. I’m not much of a cowgirl. I have an ancient pair of black boots, but they pinch my toes and aren’t real good on ice and snow.

Never had a pair since I’m a city/suburbia gal. Your boots are mighty “purty”. You can wear it the next time you go geocaching.
