Weekend Reflections – Restoration Hardware

Sweetie and I checked out our local Restoration Hardware store in Tulsa during a recent outing. They used to actually sell hardware there with a little bit of furniture. Now they have some token hardware that you have to look hard to find and really funky furniture. Really funky expensive furniture.

On our visit the theme seemed to be reflections. They had both polished and burnished surfaces.

I couldn’t figure out if was art deco or some sort of new modern type stuff. (Please note: stuffed shirt, humorless, self important, mid-Century modern fans, please be nice in your comments. You guys are worse than Ron Paul supporters.)

I’m not sure what we would do with these binoculars. Too heavy to carry outside, I’m not that interested in our neighbor’s doings. But the binoculars are styling.

What a coffee table. Made by laid off aircraft assemblers maybe?

Sweetie laughed when I suggested that we ought to buy a bunch of this stuff.

Oh boy….I’m glad I’m the one that is viewing these items…if Bud were to see it it would be like a kid in a candy shop.

I would LOVE to have the telescope myself tho…but, shhhhh, don’t tell him that.

Love her smile…it’s so very contagious.

Looks like a fun day to me and fun reflections, too!! Thanks for the morning giggle — I can always use one of those!! Hope you guys have a great weekend!

Well, heck, yeah, put it in your summer home. 😉 I enjoy seeing such neat stuff, but haven’t found a place for it in my home yet. Oh, and I am NOT a Ron Paul supporter. 😉

I have to Google Ron Paul and who ever purchases that coffee table says to me “more brass than sense”! “Brass” is a Yorkshire expression for money.

Love the binoculars though, I can see someone having fun with those.

The coffee table looks like a blow up suitcase! Though how you would blow up metal, who knows! Imagine what fun tiny tots would have playing bongo drums on that! But it could be a stuffed table with a sheen finish! Hmmm pondering! The art deco lamp looks like a telescope crossed with a left over sewing machine part! Ooooo I’m getting bad! A very funky collection of artefacts that make wonderful conversation pieces!

Those binoculars look like you can see the moon. With all that shiny furniture, they all looks a little futuristic. I agree, the coffee table does look like it’s from recycled aircraft material.

Whoa! I was wondering how polished the chrome stays once it gets home. Some of that stuff looks like it needs hired help to maintain. That’s a fun place, though. They definitely are trying to think outside the Queen Anne Forever box.

I’m most intrigued by the binoculars! I would love to know who had been spying on their neighbours. (I don’t spy on my neighbours but I like to know who does.)
