Skywatch Friday – Sunshine at the River Parks

River Parks Trees Topaz Cave Dweller

It is cold, windy, and miserable right now but just before my run Saturday with a friend, it was warm, sunny, and nice. What a difference one cold front can make!

I’m sure you notice that I’m cheating with the photo. I’m using the Topaz Impressions program which converts photos over to various styles of painting. So this is what the “Cave Art” style looks like. Sorry, SOOC is so nice but I love tinkering.

So do you like tinkering with photos? Or do you like SOOC?

    Love the effect.
As for the cold weather. At least here, it’s not snowing. A friend of mine told me it was 0 degrees with an expected high of 10!!! In Colorado. I’m sure glad we moved south. lol

Yes. I love SOOC, but I am almost always going to tinker with an image in some sort of post processing. I may do nothing more than crop the image to make it more interesting and get rid of some unnecessary background or foreground distraction, but I am going to mess with the photo on some level. I rarely use some of the more creative filters, but I really like the one that you have used here. Nice work Yogi.

Tinker away, Yogi – I like seeing those creative juices flowing! Cold and snowy here in CO. I got my cross country skis as far as the back deck – now, I only have to get my body out there.

Great photo and I love the effects. It depends on the photo whether I will tinker or not, but yes I love tinkering with photos and the apps we can get these days are very cool.

I like both SOOC and tinkering. Plus, knowing you a bit, I thought at first you had projected this lovely image on your living room wall. Please keep the cold there.

The texture is really nice. I like to tinker with my photos from time-to-time, too. There’s nothing wrong with it, if you enjoy it. We’re experiencing a very cold start here in the Tennessee Valley with temps slightly below 25℉. Yesterday, we even had a few snow showers, but no accumulation. That’s perfectly fine by me. I’m not ready for winter. Anywho, I’ve been away from the internet for almost a month spending time with DH and am getting back into the groove of things this week. Thanks for hosting the #SWF fun!

Aw and here I thought you had a tree growing in your living room in front of a plastered wall! Dang. No special fan of SOOC although I admire people who can make wonderful pictures without additional help. (I don’t have as great an editing program as you do, but if it weren’t for Picassa I would hardly ever have a picture to post.) The difference between us is you make art out of good photos and I rescue mediocre ones. But it is fun!
