Suburbia’s Heaven – Finished with the mowing. I dumped my ancient gas mower a couple of years ago and got an electric mower. No more buying gasoline, or changing oil nor air filter. Just roll it out and mow.
Went to our local Neighborhood Walmart. They had a deluxe pollinator garden for a few years but I guess they are off on new tangents. This nice fence and irrigation system is going to waste. I’m surprised copper thieves hadn’t made their mark.

I’ve had an electric (battery operated) mower for years; ditto weed whacker. But then again, I have a small yard, so it works for me. In fact, I’m on my way to mow now. Alana ramblinwitham
Those deer sculptures gave me a laugh, they look completely focused on something just out of sight. I can see why you made the switch to an electric mower too; being able to roll it out without dealing with gas or maintenance is hard to beat. It’s a shame about the pollinator garden though, especially with all that infrastructure still sitting there.

I planted cucumber seeds today, in Colorado, rain was predicted, none happened so growing things is an experiment. Pot, dirt, poodle spit, seeds, water! LOL

Yes, the electric mower is the way to go! Your yard looks good. About the copper pipes in the pollinator garden … my guess is: it’s too much trouble to dig up the pipe. They like to cut the lines up above that will just drop to the ground and they pick ‘em up and roll away with them. I see that you are following Natural Gas and Crude Oil prices. I wonder what you are thinking about gasoline prices in the months ahead. I’ve read that the oil company execs say prices will get higher in the months ahead as we deplete our reserves. An electric lawnmower is a good option if you have a large garden.
We have a balcony, so we don’t have to mow the grass.
The images of the deer are beautiful, I wonder how long they will stay up. Here, everything gets destroyed in no time.

I used to have an electric mower, but it couldn’t handle the large grassy area that was in the far back, so I went to gas again. I do wonder what the deer are looking at! I’ve said it before, you have SO many sculptures around your area! Lots of them animals too.
Our yard is a disgrace of unmowed grass and bald patches. Good for you for getting the chores done and a two-fer blog post!
We have been considering an electric mower and I have been considering that maybe my next car might be electric, petrol prices are only just coming down here, have a nice week.
