The nicest vintage building in the fort. Formerly it was Officer&#8217;s Quarters built in 1936.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"_DSC0777\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/24516159129\/in\/dateposted\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1449\/24516159129_8a616f4952.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0777\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><script src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The trees of the Fort tell the history with the wind whistling through them. they have been through broiling hot summers, freezing winters, drought, ice storms, and tornadoes. The ones that survive are ugly but tough. I think there are ghosts here, ghosts of soldiers, their families, and over 1300 prisoners of war. The ghost of Amelia Earhart is here, she flew here. I love the brick, the windows and the arches over the windows.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"_DSC0792\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/24256789683\/in\/dateposted\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1453\/24256789683_6194559ca9.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0792\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The cemetery has a few soldiers,\u00a0 lots of children and few wives. I think life was hard out here.<\/p>\n<p>If you are of such a mind to believe in ghosts there is a ghost tour monthly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.travelok.com\/listings\/view.profile\/id.18832\" target=\"_blank\">starting in March<\/a>.
