We picked up trash, lopped off limbs, seeded, and shaped trails for several hours this morning.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"DSCN5281\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/24690820744\/in\/dateposted\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1467\/24690820744_943c422335_z.jpg\" alt=\"DSCN5281\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><script src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>I worked with John and Faith on the lower portion of the blue trail. I had some loppers (that is what I call them) with me and I was exhausted at the end of a mere two hours. I left them to go fetch Logan and they were still going strong. I like pruning branches in the woods. When I prune at home I have to bundle everything up just right for the city to pick them up. Up on the mountain I just toss the branches I cut deeper into the woods.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"DSCN5280\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/24953778779\/in\/dateposted\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1568\/24953778779_9ca260dfe5_z.jpg\" alt=\"DSCN5280\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><script src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>And a week ago\u00a0we got some great news on the future of Turkey Mountain. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tulsaworld.com\/news\/gatheringplace\/george-kaiser-family-foundation-buys-land-near-turkey-mountain-formerly\/article_d61a2367-2c05-5e9f-a41f-1df4f59777d3.html?_dc=349313068436.4587\" target=\"_blank\">George Kaiser Family Foundation has purchased the 60 acres<\/a> on the west side of the mountain that was slated to be developed by Simon Properties into an outlet mall. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gkff.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">The foundation<\/a> owns another 200 acres of land on the mountain\u00a0and the new tract will be used to expand the footprint of the public wilderness area. \u00a0It is a win\/win.
