We set some records for snow in Oklahoma the last few days and it has been pretty darn cold, minus 11F this morning here in Tulsa according to Accuweather. The South Pole was minus 23F. What’s up with that?<\/p>\n

So to help out our feathered friends we’ve make extra sure that our bird feeders are well stocked.<\/p>\n

We had a pair of doves show up and waddle right into the middle of a feeder that we put on the ground. That didn’t go over well with the other birds.<\/p>\n

The only guy that could get the doves to move is the meadowlark. He will park himself in the feeder for literally hours.<\/p>\n

We had somebody new show up. It was kind of shy and I haven’t figured out what it is yet. It is a house  finch  according to a commenter.<\/p>\n

This guy showed up also. I think it is a mockingbird?<\/p>\n

A couple of bluejays show up from time to time but don’t say long.<\/p>\n

Oh, and yes, these guys show up. Sweetie tells me that they are fox squirrels.<\/p>\n

They are real hogs. We let them eat for a while then let our dogs out to chase them off. They show back up in a couple of hours. We know they need to eat, they just need to share.<\/p>\n

Tonight we had a rabbit in our front yard.<\/p>\n

Take my word for it that it is a rabbit. I had to jack up the contrast and increase the exposure.<\/p>\n
