It is a beautiful building situated on the river. It has clean, classic lines and is visible from a long ways up and down the river.<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"font-size: 1rem;\" title=\"_DSC0291\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/36418447636\/in\/dateposted\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4421\/36418447636_f62916eea4_z.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0291\" width=\"427\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>It is capped with a fiberglass, gold gilded sculpture of the Mormon Prophet Moroni blowing his trumpet.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Idaho Falls Temple HDR\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/14526699600\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm3.staticflickr.com\/2898\/14526699600_68a426a8da_z.jpg\" alt=\"Idaho Falls Temple HDR\" width=\"640\" height=\"361\" \/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The build was dedicated in 1945 and was just the eight temple dedicated by the church. They have been on quite a building program since. They are not open to non-Mormons in good standing but I was fortunate enough to tour the Oklahoma City Temple prior to its dedication in 2000. I was very impressed with the quality of construction and sumptuousness of materials used in the building and furnishings.
