It was built in 1965 and was designed by Frank Wallace. It is said to be a &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Googie_architecture\">Googie<\/a>&#8221; influenced design. Googie is new term to me and it refers to futuristic or &#8220;space age&#8221; designs. I get in trouble with architectual terms and styles so those of you that know more about this please share and we&#8217;ll all learn something.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/12555302663\/\" title=\"DSCN1452 by alnbbates, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"DSCN1452\" src=\"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/12555302663_95fd28b7d5_z-300x225.jpg\" height=\"480\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">I think that the tower is beautiful and graceful and fits it&#8217;s space just right. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oru.edu\/prayer_tower\/\">Check the ORU link<\/a> for information about the symbolism of the building.
