I love gnarly.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Saturday morning I didn&#8217;t have any obligations. Heather went off to teach her classes and the kid didn&#8217;t want to go walking or hiking or much of anything. So I went off to Turkey Mountain all on my lonesome.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a title=\"20180519-093553-6\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/27351482187\/in\/dateposted\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/965\/27351482187_0f3474fb6e_z.jpg\" alt=\"20180519-093553-6\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">A perfect trail, I love the dappled sun.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>I like exploring Turkey Mountain with my family or friends but I am okay with it on my own as well. I get totally lost in the moment feeling the sun or shade on my face, the heat, humidity, what the ground feels like under my feet, other people up there and everything else. It is all just part of the whole. You can&#8217;t keep your head in the clouds though. You have to keep an eye on the trail so you don&#8217;t trip plus the copperheads are out and they are hard to spot.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a title=\"20180519-092522-4\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/27349372367\/in\/dateposted\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/905\/27349372367_b68789f5d7_z.jpg\" alt=\"20180519-092522-4\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">An open air auditorium. The trees make a natural archway.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>So I have a rough idea of what I want to do but I feel free to change it up as the mood strikes me.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a title=\"20180519-070923-4\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/40411549420\/in\/dateposted\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/968\/40411549420_24ac5329bc_z.jpg\" alt=\"20180519-070923-4\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Slow and steady down the this steeper than it looks and rocky trail.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Turkey Mountain is just so lush and green this early in the summer. Give it time under some hot sun and the green will lose its freshness and the ponds, creeks, and springs will dry up.
