Don&#8217;t forget this Friday we have a full blood moon coming up. This was about 86% gibbous phase. I don&#8217;t always get them but I love it when I can see the craters on the &#8220;bottom&#8221; of the moon.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"20180722-194643-2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/42682164955\/in\/dateposted\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/916\/42682164955_72cb515ab9_z.jpg\" alt=\"20180722-194643-2\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>And here we are in the &#8216;hood. I loved the clouds one day when I was on the front porch. I guess sometimes I am a lazy skywatcher. While we are in a sharing mood, I took the photo of the moon from my front yard as well. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bostonavenue.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boston Avenue United Methodist Church<\/a>. An art deco masterpiece built in the late 1920&#8217;s and designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bruce_Goff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bruce Goff<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Adah_Robinson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adah Robinson<\/a>. The interior is beautiful also. I love how the island appears to be suspended in air. (Okay maybe I&#8217;m stretching it a little bit.)<\/p>\n<p>Okay, that&#8217;s it for this week. Don&#8217;t forget the full moon on Friday.
