They were sponsoring a &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/vfw577.org\/di\/vfw\/v2\/default.asp?pid=67506\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Field of Heroes (opens in a new tab)\"><strong>Field of Heroes<\/strong><\/a>&#8221; in the Park consisting of 402 pairs of boots and ID tags for American Military Members who died while serving their country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-flickr wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2j5yZ5y\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/49934815948_3ec5465397.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0928\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the second year they did this. Eventually they would like to reach 13,000 pairs of boots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-flickr wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2j5Dmhe\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/49935667717_bb9f30fe4a.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0920\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s a sobering sight, both the array of boots and looking at the individual tags and photos of the service members.
