{"id":1449,"date":"2010-03-01T17:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-03-01T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/?p=1449"},"modified":"2014-06-15T05:09:04","modified_gmt":"2014-06-15T05:09:04","slug":"my-world-tulsa-history-museum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yogisden.us\/?p=1449","title":{"rendered":"My World &#8211; Tulsa History Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A couple weeks ago SuperPizzaBoy and I went to the Tulsa History Museum operated by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tulsahistory.org\/index.htm\">Tulsa Historical Society<\/a> at the Travis Mansion at Woodward Park.<\/p>\n<p>Know something, it was free. SPB and I are all over free.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not a real big museum but it is packed with stuff.<\/p>\n<p>We loved this old truck polished to a high gloss.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/4373425673\/\" title=\"20100220_26 by alnbbates, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/4373425673_b733aa1b90-300x225.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"20100220_26\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They had relics from some of the grand old movie theaters downtown. Some cities have preserved some of these spaces and repurposed them for concerts and such. Not Tulsa, we&#8217;re progressive. We tore&#8217;em down. It&#8217;s SPB discovering a juke box. His first selection was Frank Sinatra, which was fine. His second was the Partridge Family (or something similar). (If my photographer knew he was doing this blog would be a lot better.) They had an exhibit on old department stores and including some of the fashions. I love that yellow dress. I bet it has the butterfly and taffy scent. We went next door to the Tulsa Garden Center. They had something going on also. I&#8217;ll brag on her a little.
