I went on a bike ride the other day and I packed my elderly superzoom along and I saw a few things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A great blue heron doing one of those twisty turny things with their neck. I wonder if they ever accidentally tie their neck in a knot?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And another one. They sure are patient fishers. They are also very sensitive to their surroundings. I’ve learned to move slowly even when they are at quite a distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anda the ubiquitous geese. They are everywhere it seems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And some basking slider turtles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the latest water critter, Kodi in my MIL’s swimming pool. A couple weeks ago he was there with us on the deck and he just jumped in like he knew what he was doing. We are trying to teach how to get out of the pool safely. He loves the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet Fanny, my MIL’s latest pool decoration. She has solar cells and at night glows in the dark. Pretty cool stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And another flamingo decoration for the pool area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
