I see whenever I can. Tulsa has one of the largest such parades in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2pf1Hkz\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53323468211_5cf8b3cbd2_c.jpg\" alt=\" \" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, son Logan joined me. The first time I have ever watched the parade with anybody!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2pf4agw\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53323945664_c8011c1d1f.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0001\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A World War II vintage DC-3 Transport aircraft started flying over downtown Tulsa well before the parade and kept flying circles throughout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2peWUPF\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53322726397_ea066d1e2f.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0003\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A Tulsa Police Department motorcycle squad opened the parade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2pf49fo\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53323942234_8a79636a95.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0032\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Their were High School marching bands representing their schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2pf49pg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53323942749_4ebe4f7d9a.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0028\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>TPD had some of the officers who are veterans  in the parade with one of their armored vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2pf49Ry\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53323944274_253561e8f8.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0015\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some veterans organizations showed up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2pf3ydE\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53323827758_3e5ed59bb6.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0017\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Including the Veterans Administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2pf2oFJ\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53323600576_655cdac2c8.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0020\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Logan liked all the military vehicles that were in the parade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2pf2odz\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53323599001_cd0c3b3229.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0031\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Several Junior ROTC squads showed up and marched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2pfd147\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53325670676_d50da92c43.jpg\" alt=\" \" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Miss Oklahoma showed up with a big smile. I googled her and her name is Sunny Day. What a name,!! I think it fits here. When I lived in Dallas years ago I knew somebody named Happy Holidays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2peWUjc\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53322724687_4451189f7f.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0022\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And more military vehicles. This looks foreign to me but still cool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2pf4JxN\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53324057620_a1ae5070d8.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0014\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>My former coworkers from the company I retired from showed up in force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2pf4a5z\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53323945029_072c555fbf.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC0010\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And it still wasn&#8217;t over. I didn&#8217;t stay long enough this time but after the parade is over, veterans from all over town show up and march. Some in full uniform some with just a cap.
