I heard all sorts of birds and got brief views of some of them. The only photo I got is of these waterfowl on one of the ponds on a long shot. I think they are mainly ducks and maybe a couple of geese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2qqY3WC\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54103787048_56f683bed9_c.jpg\" alt=\" \" width=\"370\" height=\"800\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2qqTG3Q\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54102936316_55ebf7122d_c.jpg\" alt=\" \" width=\"370\" height=\"800\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I am still not much of a birder. I am hiking along and I can tell that I am really close and yet I hardly ever see the smaller birds and the cardinals are very skittish and stay in the brush so it is hard to get a photo of them. It is fun that with the Merlin App I can at least identify them. Still I only have about five birds on my life list. Halloween is just too stressful for Kodi so we go dark. Turn out the porch and driveway lights and the lights in the rooms at the front of the house. So something funny happened.
