We drove from Tulsa to Santa Fe. It&#8217;s not that bad of a drive. Almost all the route is Interstate 40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/55367593381\/in\/dateposted\/\" title=\"Road to Santa Fe\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55367593381_b92e1d068d_z.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" alt=\"Road to Santa Fe\"\/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I love road trips and road trips to the west are wonderful because of the big skies you see once you get past Oklahoma City and are on the Great Plains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/55367823408\/in\/dateposted\/\" title=\"Road to Santa Fe\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55367823408_557742dc94_z.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" alt=\"Road to Santa Fe\"\/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lots of people think it is a boring drive. Not me! We went to check it out when the sun was about to set. We went up there and there were a lot of people. They were not at the bar or in the swimming pool. You can see the New Mexico State Capital and the Sandia Mountains that overlook Albuquerque. I always forget that when one has real mountains, you can see them a long ways off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/55371573648\/in\/dateposted\/\" title=\"Santa Fe Sunset\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55371573648_11c8ec8767_z.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" alt=\"Santa Fe Sunset\"\/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And this is looking to the southeast. That storm brewing up that I showed you in the earlier photo. Great skies everywhere you look. We went up to the rooftop every night of our stay.
