Usually I just buzz down the turnpike and back but not this time. My hotel is in the downtown area so I was looking forward to checking in and doing either some night time geocaching or photography. I got off the freeway exit and turned down Broadway to make my to my hotel when I saw buildings ablaze with light.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/8226206204\/\" title=\"IMG_4158 by alnbbates, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_4158\" height=\"375\" src=\"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/8226206204_a4c05c2df9-300x225.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a>&gt;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">It was flat amazing. Each building was decorated with a single color of lights. So xnay on the old geocaching plan, (although I think they do have geocaches). I walked up and down and over across the streets taking pictures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/8226207034\/\" title=\"IMG_4152 by alnbbates, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_4152\" height=\"375\" src=\"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/8226207034_4f7bb4409b-300x225.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><br \/><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\">This section of Broadway north of downtown is called &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/automobilealley.org\/#!a-alley\/welcome\" target=\"_blank\">Automobile Alley<\/a>&#8221; because way back when in the early 20th century that is where most of Oklahoma City&#8217;s Automobile Dealers were here. It is not redone and gentrified with cool restaurants and shops.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/8225134055\/\" title=\"IMG_4153 by alnbbates, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_4153\" height=\"375\" src=\"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/8225134055_bf197733cd-300x225.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">I remember reading about these lights on my favorite Oklahoma Blog JenX67. She wrote about the lights <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jenx67.com\/2009\/11\/automobile-alley-christmas-lights.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jenx67.com\/2009\/11\/oklahoma-city-christmas-lights.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. I go to Oklahoma City quite often but usually during the day and with somebody. My coworkers are very patient with me but I don&#8217;t take them on too many wild photography and geocaching adventures.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/8225133601\/\" title=\"IMG_4156 by alnbbates, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_4156\" height=\"375\" src=\"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/8225133601_f701f094ce-300x225.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">This store is just off Automobile Alley but they have upped the ante.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/8225133797\/\" title=\"IMG_4155 by alnbbates, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_4155\" height=\"375\" src=\"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/8225133797_dc8db473b0-300x225.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">But nothing like the building right next to it. I&#8217;d hate to pay their electric bill. I spotted this nice wine merchant. I went inside and spotted a nice Oyster Bay Pinot Noir and then I went back across the street to <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=36.119491,-97.06562&amp;spn=1.0,1.0&amp;q=36.119491,-97.06562%20(Hideaway%20Pizza)&amp;t=h\" rel=\"geolocation\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Hideaway Pizza\">Hideaway Pizza<\/a> and had their BBQ Chicken.
