{"id":729,"date":"2012-03-13T02:44:00","date_gmt":"2012-03-13T02:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/?p=729"},"modified":"2014-06-15T04:53:27","modified_gmt":"2014-06-15T04:53:27","slug":"teenage-improv-madness-at-clark-theater","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yogisden.us\/?p=729","title":{"rendered":"Teenage Improv Madness at Clark Theater"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday night the Yogi&#8217;s and NaNa ventured into midtown Tulsa to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityoftulsa.org\/culture--recreation\/tulsa-parks\/specialty-centers\/henthorne-pac.aspx\">Henthorne Community Center<\/a> to see the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityoftulsa.org\/culture--recreation\/tulsa-parks\/specialty-centers\/henthorne-pac\/clark-theatre.aspx\">Clark Theater&#8217;s<\/a> Teen Laughing Matter Improv Show.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/6978018557\/\" title=\"Improv Picnik collage 1 by alnbbates, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Improv Picnik collage 1\" height=\"500\" src=\"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/6978018557_c0b6d22815-300x300.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was all teenagers, led by adults, who have been working all Fall and Spring on their comedy improv skills. Everybody got to play in this fast paced show which went fast. This is SuperPizzaBoy&#8217;s second year in improv, his first in &nbsp;the Improv group. He loves it and his mother and I are amazed about how much he comes out of his shell.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/6972773055\/\" title=\"IMG_8074 by alnbbates, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_8074\" height=\"375\" src=\"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/6972773055_062e2b1b44-300x225.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>SPB&#8217;s fellow Improvers are a very quick very personable bunch who are also a bunch of hams. Improv involves a lot of interaction with the audience who toss out suggestions for various things. Many of these things involve current events, pop culture, history and such. No video game references. It was amazing the breadth of these kids knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>They have good teachers. The adult leaders of the group are demanding and but infinite patience as they whip their charges into shape.<\/p>\n<p>We are big fans of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityoftulsa.org\/culture--recreation\/tulsa-parks\/specialty-centers\/henthorne-pac\/clark-theatre.aspx\">Clark Theater<\/a> and their leaders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday night the Yogi&#8217;s and NaNa ventured into midtown Tulsa to the Henthorne Community Center to see the Clark Theater&#8217;s Teen Laughing Matter Improv Show.
