There is nothing like a road trip.<\/p>\n<p>First stop, getting something to eat of course!<br \/>\n<a title=\"IMG_6660 by alnbbates, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/6088898240\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/6088898240_6ee452188d-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6660\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There is no other choice for Road Food than the Rock Cafe in Stroud, right on route 66. It was built in 1936.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"IMG_6661 by alnbbates, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/6088899224\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/6088899224_33c61f6305-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6661\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The food is great. It is a popular spot on 66 but we came at an off time.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"IMG_6663 by alnbbates, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28381904@N06\/6088357525\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yogisden.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/6088357525_5c09993eab-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6663\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The owner Dawn Welch has owned it since the 1990&#8217;s. She was the inspiration for the character <a title=\"List of Cars characters\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_Cars_characters\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Sally Carrera<\/a> in the movie &#8220;Cars&#8221;. Ms. Welch was also named <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.newsok.com\/bamsblog\/2009\/12\/31\/cars-inspiration-dawn-welch-named-oklahomas-woman-of-the-year-carrie-underwood-a-finalist\/\"><b><span style=\"color: #38761d;\">Oklahoma&#8217;s 2008 Woman of the Year<\/span><\/b><\/a> beating out Carrie Underwood. That&#8217;s a big honor especially considering how Oklahoma loves Carrie Underwood.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"640\" height=\"390\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/YD_sTELpEmY&amp;hl=en_US&amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;version=3\" \/><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowScriptAccess\" value=\"always\" \/><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/YD_sTELpEmY&amp;hl=en_US&amp;feature=player_embedded&amp;version=3\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" width=\"640\" height=\"390\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t take just my word for the food, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flavortownusa.com\/the-rock-cafe.aspx\"><b><span style=\"color: #6aa84f;\">Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives<\/span><\/b><\/a> likes it also.
