I’m trying to read what was written in the previous sign (adding machines comes through!). Not only is the sign old – the idea of time clocks also dates it!
I am enjoying your signs series. I may have to follow you on this meme. And I really enjoyed the photo of you and your dad yesterday. The two of you have the identical set to your jaw. Lucky you.
This shot looks like another business has bitten the dust. I really need to find a good cloaks shot being that we have a big old grandfather’s clack that does not work…it is such a shame no to get to hear it chime. Hope you are having a nice weekend.
I love the old painted signs, really speaks of a different time — certainly a simpler one! Hope all is well!

Fab!
I’m singing Tesla’s song Signs now!
Nice find!
Those old signs are becoming less and less. Glad you came across this one.
Love the retro building too!
A timeless sign!
A timeless sign!
Lovely to find this memory! Thanks for sharing.
I love how the older sign is starting to poke through!

Love how the old sign has weathered time while the attached building has moved on!
I like these old painted signs.
There must be some kind of finish that can be used to preserve this old sign.
I also like that Googie styled roof at the front!
It’s a challenge to read the sign under the clock sign. I made out “typewriter service” and “typewriters & adding machines.”
After seeing the sign, the building truly surprised me. Just doesn’t fit!

Interesting sign. I wonder if the clock shop still exists. The building looks like it houses appliances, not clocks.
That old sign makes me desperate to browse round the old emporium but not the modern monstrosity it’s attached to!
I love old signs on buildings, and this one is fantastic!
Looks like it’s been there for a while.
Um, someone didn’t do a very good job painting over the OLD sign. GAH!
I’m singing this song now..
This old stuff is nice. 🙂 LG Tina
hee hee…
It looks like The Clock Shop (ahem) ran out of time!
