Some how I suspect that guy is saying exactly what your last visitor wrote! “Can’t eat in peace, I’m getting out of here! Well, if I can find a place to hide!” You got some terrific shots of him though so we can all enjoy! Speaking of enjoying — enjoy your weekend! Hope you and SPB and Sweetie can find something to get into!
It is a great zoo, one of the best. Still, on our visit last week I felt the habitats for many of the animals were too limited. I know they do the best they can, that they have a great captive breading program for endangered species and that allowing people to see animals makes them more willing to protect habitats, but still…
I love the SD Zoo and me and that gorilla had a serious conversation back in Sept. He sat at the glass and stared at me while I talked to him. Then, like my wife, he just turned around and walked off. I felt right at home.
Great photos. In the first picture, the gorilla seems to be holding his hands in the same way as the girl behind him. Maybe he was watching the people as closely as they were watching him.
I’m wondering what was in the distance that captivated all those people behind the glass, Yogi? That gorilla in the first photo really reminds me of prehistoric man! I like that he turned his back to the crowd.
You can come so close to the gorillas!
Cool shots of the Gorilla. They are neat critters.
Don’t you just hate it when humans INSIST on watching you eat your meal AND EVEN take photographs!!!!!
These are great pictures! I really like the first one – who’s in and who’s out?
Have a great weekend.

Oh, I noticed the same thing Janie mentioned… monkey see, monkey do! Thanks for the link, also.
Nice photos.
It’s a shame we have to raise awareness by putting them in cages.

These are incredible images. Beautiful.
Nice pictures Yogi!
I always find monkeys slightly weird, mostly because they really look like us. Or rather, we really look like them!
Great shots – especially that first one.
Great shots! It looks like he’s ignoring the visitors in the first one 🙂
Wow, the gorilla is right up to the glass, but everyone else is looking elsewhere except you.
It should be amazing to see them this close..
