Last weekend the Yogi’s loaded up and went to see “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole” in 3D.
The movies are based on the multi-volume “Guardians of Ga’Hoole” books written by Kathryn Lasky. SuperPizzaBoy has read all the books and he tells me that the movie covers the first three books. He also tells me that the books are wonderful and the movie follows the books faithfully.
I thought the movie was wonderful also. The animation is great and the movie was a totally satisfying experience. Some of the fighting scenes are intense so keep that in mind if you have younger kids.
I rate the movie four stars out of four.
Here is the movie site. Lots there, games and such. Here is the book site, lots there also. See the movie, buy the books.
The animated creatures are amazingly realistic. Looks like a fun movie.
I keep hearing great things but am not even tempted to see it.
I’ll catch it when it comes out on TV, I guess.
I’ll have to ask my son if he knows about the books and the movie. I’m sure he does because he and his oldest are avid readers. I do want to check though just to make sure. I love it when I know about something he doesn’t. Doesn’t happen very often, but I sure love it when it does.
