Looking Up
I’m cheating today cuz I am using two photographs for the “Looking Up” prompt. You have to look up to see these big cranes used to build high rises.
You gotta look a little lower to see what they are carrying.
Light
Lights from the power company power plant maybe?
Favorite Mobile Device
Mobile devices? Sure I have two Ipod Touches and an Ipod Nano. I have two Kindle Fires and a regular Kindle, a nice laptop, and a snazzy smart phone. I also have a GPS enabled camera and several GPS receivers and some other devices. My favorite mobile device is my bicycle, especially when Heather is riding with me. What is your favorite mobile device?
Outside
We found this beauty at Mount Rainier National Park a couple years ago. I live for being outside. I have been under the weather for over a week and it has been cold so I am having severe outside withdrawals.
Inside
Like I have said I’ve been inside quite a bit. In front of the fire. I’ve been reading a lot, blogging a little, and watching the Olympics. I’ve also started watching the old television program “Breaking Bad.” I am major addicted to it. The violence is very disturbing but the the acting and the story line makes it compelling. And Heather wanted to know what I was going to do with the Chromecast I wanted for Christmas. I love the Olympics but this one at Sotchi is just making me think “Are you kidding me?” I mean the waste and corruption that went on building the facilities and infrastructure and the glossing over a brutal past and present government is just kind of strange. Hey, I love the competition though!
“Looking Up” gives a whole new meaning to Porta Potty! Well done Yogi.
Beautiful evening shot, and I like your idea of mobile device, possibly taken with a mobile device as well? Lovely inside scene as well, kick off the shoes and sit back and enjoy the evening.
As always, a super, imaginative set of photographs. Your porta loo picture made me smile – I have that sense of humour. Perhaps I should give a small apology, your cold has gone on for so long that, just maybe, you have had a touch of flu?
My favourite mobile device is definitely my car – I intend to drive for as long as I am able to retain my independence.
Do agree with you re. the Olympic opening ceremony but I also thought what a waste of money that could have been spent on other more worthwhile things. However, I have to say it was lovely to see an English woman getting a bronze in the snowboarding. Our commentators went overboard in their excitement at the UK winning a medal – they’re hard to come by in the winter Olympics for us.
Looking up was great – but don’t get too close – it may not be only dangerous but crappy.
Bill
Ah, yes! I’m with Bill!!! Hope you’re feeling much better!!
These are so great! I hope you get feeling better soon!
@LeedsLass – Keep on driving as long as you can safely do so.
The second shot of looking up made me laugh.
Nice capture of the lights too.
I agree with you about Sochi. During the opening ceremonies one of the dopes for NBC actually said that since Russia is such a large country, Putin has to have central control to make it work. Give me a break!
Great minds think alike: we have the same favorite mobile devise.
I love your outside picture and your inside picture looks so comfy.
Thanks for your concern Yogi re. my safety to drive. I’m lucky that I have an instructor visits me annually (my daughter) and she sees for herself how safe (or not) her Ma is. She is on strict instructions to tell me immediately if she is anxious when being driven.
My favorite mobile device are my feet! I love to walk! I love the natural trails here in the open spaces, but I miss being able to walk everywhere I needed to be as I did in Brooklyn. Now I need to drive for that,
My husband and I began watching Breaking Bad and saw three episodes but then we got distracted by “House of Cards” starring Kevin Spacy. It is also well written and full of drama that make one want to see more.
Hope you feel better soon!
Looking up is great. Is that water or ice on the drive in front of your bike? I don’t believe I’ve ridden a bike on ice.
Devices? I’ve been left to my own devices too long.
Sorry you haven’t been feeling well. What a bummer!
I confess that I have no idea what “Breaking Bad” is.
Love your choice for mobile–you’re so clever!
