My backyard trailcam captured this image of a squirrel jumping up on a bird bath. It looks like it is giving the camera some side eye, like “watch this!”
Earlier in the week we had another backyard visitor. A Cooper’s Hawk came and sat on the back fence for maybe a half hour. Probably on the lookout for squirrels. Sorry for the fuzzy photo I shot it through a window and it was raining.
Love the mid air squirrel photo. The Hawk is impressive, I guess it is looking for it’s next meal.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
The coopers hawk is beautiful. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one of these!
Squirrel pic just amazing, Hawk looks great.
…what an image of the squirrel!!!
What a wonderful record of visitors!
when you put out food and water for the birds, you are bound to attract a few squirrels. their antis are fun to watch. a great capture of the hawk!!
We have many squirrels visiting us every day, and their antics create lots of amusement for us!
Linda ardilla. Te mando un beso.
I had 3 flying squirrels that fell out of one of our trees. Since the mom never came back I got them food from the feed store. I put a towel in a bog, hooked a heat lamp to it. I had them until they died.
Box not bog, that would have been mean.
A very cute squirrel shot, it does seem to know it’s being watched! I have hawks around, but I also have large owls, and several times the hawks are found beheaded under my cedars. Smaller birds too, and a large rat… I can see how small cats and dogs disappear, although I read when they get pets it’s usually mistaken identity.
That squirrel mid-air shot is incredible!
Cool squirrel, it knows about the camera 😉
