From a bike ride last month. I found this Great Blue Heron at Zink Lake on the Arkansas River in Tulsa.

On another day last month I was hiking on Turkey Mountain and came across this Red Shouldered Hawk. They are so intense!!

And then just a short distance down the trail.

Blue herons are so graceful and tall As you know, we see a lot of deer in our area–always fun to watch not so good for our gardens as they are enormous eaters.

What a spectacular lineup of wildlife for a single month of trail adventures. That Red-Shouldered Hawk looks incredibly majestic, and you captured that intense gaze perfectly. Spotting two different deer on your hike must have felt so magical, especially the one hiding quietly in the shadows. Zink Lake seems like a fantastic spot too, since seeing a Great Blue Heron up close is always such a treat. Thank you for sharing these gorgeous snapshots from your bike rides and hikes.
