Things are happenning in downtown Tulsa. All three of us went to see the Blue Man Group at the Performing Arts Center and then afterwords we ventured about three blocks to the south to the “Deco District” to see the goings on at Chalkfest.
Each artist is given a 10×10 section of pavement to do their thing.
We were early enough that there were not any finished works.
The artists were giving it their all and the early results looked impressive.
They had lots of chalk available for freelancers and they were going for it.
Sweetie and I loved this. A horse with a blue hand print done in memory of the artist to their Grandpa.
If they have it next year, I’ll be there.
What a fun day for all of you!! I do enjoy events like this one! Great paintings and I do love the last one, too! Thanks for sharing! Hope you have a great week!
I like the chalkfest art. How awesome to see the Blue Man Group. Still celebrating?
A super family-friendly event. You were smart to see the art in progress, which to me is very interesting.
I always admire the talent of any artist. I love street art. My favorite is the one of the horse too, especially as it was in honor of the artist’s grandpa.
those are pretty wonderful …
Impressive works!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
This is beautiful! The art work is very impressive!
Blue Man Group is a fun show!
My husband and I went to the Chalkfest in Denver this summer and we were amazed by the range of wonderful artwork and themes.
The Blue Man group sounds like fun! And the chalk art is neat, I also love the horse. Have a happy week!
awesome!! so creative. ( :
Great event ~ and wonderful photography ~ love the Chalkfest ~ carol, xo
How interesting.
My husband has always wanted to see Blue man – was it good? The chalk art is so transitory – just like the Buddhist sand paintings that are swept away after they’re finished.
That chalk art is amazing!
I love painting and drawing but certainly couldn’t do anything on such a large scale AND have people watch whilst drawing. Fascinating.
There is just so much talent in the world. Thanks for sharing.
Kids’ fun through an artist’s lens. Very cool.
What a cool event! That wineglass is amazing!
This is fun! I love seeing art like this!
I love to go to festivals!
That one looks wonderful!
