The summer wind, came blowin in – from across the sea
It lingered there, so warm and fair – to walk with me
All summer long, we sang a song – and strolled on golden sand
Two sweethearts, and the summer wind
Like painted kites, those days and nights – went flyin by
The world was new, beneath a blue – umbrella sky
Then softer than, a piper man – one day it called to you
And I lost you, to the summer wind
The autumn wind, and the winter wind – have come and gone
And still the days, those lonely days – go on and on
And guess who sighs his lullabies – through nights that never end
My fickle friend, the summer wind
My favorite summer wind is on the beach and my favorite companion on the beach is Sweetie.
And SuperPizzaBoy of Course
Now I love music but Sweetie is my authorative source and she thinks Frank is just fine,
But Mister Buble does much better.
What a happy post! 🙂
Buble does interesting renditions of the classics.
Awwww, great pictures of you guys and thanks for the music. Have a great day! On the road towards Cody, Wyoming today.
A fun, happy post indeed!! Always great to see the three of you together and having fun!!
Wonderful summer shots!! And I’m a big Sinatra fan. Thanks for a great post.
This is one of my favorite summer songs! When I had music on my blog, a long time ago, I often played it! I miss the sand and surf and hope to take a beach vacation with my family next year 🙂
I love Sinatra and don’t think Buble comes anywhere near to his genius. I’m an old lady and allowed to my opinion:-)
Looks like we think alike love the beach! Great set now off to find Michael Buble’s version
Without Mr. Sinatra, Mr. Buble’s would not have had such inspiration…remind the Mrs of that. (tho’ I love the tempo of this rendition) It’s like a Bruno Mars thing. Jus’ sayin’. And don’t get me going on Aaron Copland and his arranger Grofe.
I love that you called out the lyricists and composers. Without them Mr Sinatra wouldn’t have had HIS inspiration.
Glad you and the Mrs and PB had a great time on the beach.
Such fun shots from the beach. You guys look to be having a wonderful time. I really liked those first shots of your sweetie heading towards you on the sand.
Listened to Michael version too here and it’s pretty good. A little more upbeat tempo but nicely done. Since I wasn’t familiar with Sinatra’s version until I listened to it had I heard this one first I would have enjoyed it just as much.
Thanks for visiting and commenting. Love your interpretation of the song. This meme is so much fun!

I really like that series of first shots walking along the beach…they have a vintage feel to them that I envision when listening to a Frank Sinatra song :). Thanks for joining in at Song-ography!
Looks like a nice family time at the beach. Smiling at your URL…Crusty Gas Guy! 🙂
Love your beach shots. That first series is especially fun and carefree.
I enjoyed the Buble version of this song. I wasn’t really familiar with it in the first place though!
What a great collection of beach shots. Perfect for this song! Personally, I don’t think you can go wrong with either Sinatra or Buble!
your wife must love you! she lets you take photos of her in a bathing suit. Beautiful photos.
You have a beautiful, and smart, wife.
These pictures are priceless and fit perfectly with this week’s song. (and I agree – Buble does it better)
