Scavenger Hunt Sunday – Is Hoppiness the same as Happiness?

Well it is Scavenger Hunt Sunday time again. It has been a while since I participated what with taxes and travel and such but I’m back.

Happiness

Happiness, hmmm, I have over 29,000 photos on Flickr and not a one tagged with happiness. Well, how about hoppiness? I got lots and lots of beer photos. How about a nice “Hoppy” IPA. That almost always makes me happy! What about you?

Spring in Black and White

Spring, black and white, that is hard. I can see winter and black and white but Spring. So I cheated I took a photo I had of some daffodils tulips (thanks dear readers)  at Tulsa’s Woodward Park and boosted the color and then converted it to black and white, and then screened back in just a tad of color. Do I pass or do I have to try it again?

Family or Faith

Family in Seattle
Here is our little family in Seattle last year. SuperPizzaBoy, Sweetie, and me. And yes, I am smiling, or at least my version of a smile.

Fuzzy

SPB’s cat LJ is pretty fuzzy. I love how cats just decide to take over whatever they need for their own purposes.

Gathering or Provide

I apologize for this picture of a picture. It is from my MIL’s family way back when in western Oklahoma. Her family has been in Oklahoma a long time. They used to have family gatherings on their ranches with horses and everything. I forget just when this was but it is such an Oklahoma photograph. I love western Oklahoma with its endless rolling hills and grass cut through by the creeks and rivers and the people are the friendliest, most hard working, and generous you will ever come across.

That is it, check out Ashley Sisk’s Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

I am so impressed with your manipulation of that Tulip photograph. It turned out wonderfully. Those old Oklahoma pictures are such a treasure.

I am not impressed with your tulip picture but I LOVE your old Oklahoma picture – sorry Yogi, but you know I always give my honest opinion!!!

I’m hoppy if you’re hoppy, Yogi. I’ve got to correct you though – those are tulips not daffs. I love the gathering photo.

Love the processing you used on your tulips. Now that there is in ally a bit of color outside it’s so hard not to use it in a photo! Thank you for sharing your Oklahoma pic. I expected to see a “Surrey with the fringe on top” following behind. 🙂

I have no expertise but I like the tulip picture. I also like the Oklahoma gathering and wonder what the story behind it is.

I think hoppiness definitely translates as happiness. Absolutely! Your family picture is fun (it is a prize winning day if you get any picture of my family together in one shot – smiles are totally optional). And a little color in Spring – personally, I could not bring myself to turn color off this week.

    Well done!

I love the beer for “hops.” it’s still so close to Easter that a rabbit came to mind. 🙂 Beer has to be more fun than a rabbit.

Love that tulip pic, too. 🙂

    Sunday hugs from Port Canaveral,

I love the vintage Oklahoma photo, Yogi! It is wonderful to have a long connection to the land. We are not getting much a spring here in the Denver area — another foot of snow on the way tomorrow! I don’t think there will be one tulip seen here this season!

I appear to be the only person not particularly impressed by the tulip picture – I find it rather sad and dark, not the way I think of tulips at all. Beauty is obviously in the eye of the beholder.
Thanks for allowing me to be honest.

    Very nice set.
The BW (well sort of) shot of the Tulips was wonderful.
Fuzzy is so cute, I thought I could see just one eye peeking open.
Gathering, that is a cool photo.
