I made another attempt at Ashley Sisk’s Scavenger Hunt Sundays. This week’s edition was especially challenging.
1.Basket
Basket, Basket… I had to think about this one. I finally came up with a Native American basket on display at Phoenix’s fabulous Heard Museum that I visited last April. Whew.
2.Park
For “Park” I picked Tulsa’s Owen Park. One of Tulsa’s oldest and least known park. I took this picture on film on a cold overcast day.
3.Auto
Car is easy. Here is a picture of my car. I like it, I wish the mileage were better and that I had more presets on the radio, plus black is hard to keep clean. It gets me to work and back, what else do you need?
4.Recycle
Recycle was a tough one. I refused to go the garage and shoot our recycle bin. This is Bixby, Oklahoma’s 9/11 Memorial. It is a beam from the the World Trade Center. Lets never forget.
5.People Watching
I love people watching. It is one of my favorite activities.I have a 35 mm film camera that can shoot two shots side by side on one frame. I take it to public places and shoot away. State fairs, home and garden shows, concerts, grocery stores, casinos. All are good places to people watch. These are from the Tulsa State Fair.
That’s it for this week’s edition of Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Check out the other participants as they are very good photographers and very clever in their finds.
What a great scavenger hunt you’ve taken us on!! I love it!! Every time I visit your blog I have to chuckle at all the fun you do have!! Who ever thought that the fun stopped when one grows up and older!!!
Hi!
Love the memorial, I would like to just see that in person one day as I watched a program where they mentioned sending that beam to OK. The State Fair brought back memories of my trip there in the rain last year!
And yes I’m back blogging!
Love the car. I’m sure it gets you down the BA in style. I almost used the Tulsa state fair for my people watching photo as well, but opted for the Cherry Street farmer’s market. I’m going to really have to scramble to meet this week’s requirements.
Great collection of shots for your photo hunt! I love the pretty basket and the recycle is awesome. Wonderful finds!
That’s the kind of car I need for work. I can just see my employer’s face when I pulled up in it. (I’m a part time nanny). : )
What an amazing memorial, I really like your take on the prompt. It was a hard one huh?
I like your fair shots. Two at a time huh? interesting. Let us never forget is right. Amazing that metal bent so much.
Is that REALLY your car?
I’m sure you would create a lot of rubber necking if you drove down the highway in that car. Two shots at once? I want to do that.
WOW – great memorial!!!! And a wonderful take on recycle.
That basket is beautiful. And I Love your car. Where can I get one? 😉
I think I’m “AUTO-challenged” — I can’t figure out what sort of car that is? you actually drive that on the streets? it looks like a showcase car.
Yogi I thought the car was going to be my favorite until I got to the memorial.
That is just so so moving. You did a wonderful job taking that and sharing it with us.
The next time we are in Tulsa I would like to visit there and see that!
Great job this week and happy hunting next week!
Always enjoy your creative take on the romps, Yogi. Glad you’re enjoying your Darth Vader wheels!
Interesting finds on your journey. What a cool car! It looks menacing enough that drivers will get out of your way. Is that 9/11 Memorial in the middle of a highway? Odd place for it.
Love the park shot!
That lady doesn’t go easy on you scavenger participants does she? Good job. But that car? Uh…..
Your “park” shot is so serene 🙂
The Native American basket is gorgeous, your park shot lovely – but it is the auto(mobile) that has me smiling. (nicely done with your choice on recycle too) – but the auto(mobile) – so stinkin cool!
No wonder you have so many faithful followers, it’s not always the photographs that grab me, but your wording. I love words.
Love “your” car, Yogi. You must have a private guard watching it all day while your at work, eh?
People watching is fun for me too.
Ha…what a fun auto. 🙂 Love your “people watching”, but they are all great, Yogi!
Your Park photo is gorgeous and I love the details on the basket.
Great interpretations on all the themes.
Well done! YOu did well.
I love photography!
