Alligator Haiku

Sometimes it is Wise to Read and Heed the Signs!

No Swimming

Why?

As promised,  Alligator Haiku. My first since my sophomore year in high school, 40 years ago.

If you are lucky, it will be another 40 years before my next try.

I agree — not bad at all after 40 years! I don’t even have the guts to try! Fun one for the day! Thanks, needed the laugh this morning!

Well well well. Look who still “has it” after 40 years. I wrote a haiku my junior year. It was published in our schools book of crap (or something similarly titled). I still have that book. And I also had a short story make it in there.

Whoop! I was talented back in the day.

That’s not a sign or a creature you’ll see where I live. I do have a mountain lion warning sign to post for this meme one of these days. Nice shots!

Hate to hurt your feelings Alan but, for me, it’s a case of don’t call me I’ll call you when it comes to your haiku. Never heard that word before – at first I thought it was something to do with Hawaii or, even, New Zealand.

I do hope I don’t hurt your feelings, I just think that, if ever we met, we’d probably have exactly the same sense of humour:-)

I’ve looked up haiku – we never did anything like that when I was at school. Mind you as I was at school throughout WW2, that could possibly have been the reason! No offence meant to anyone reading this, simply stating how I think it was in the forties.

One would be foolish not to heed that warning. Even sleeping that’s a fierce looking guy. 🙂
I think you did well with your Haiku.

Kudos to you for the sign and the haiku. Give yourself a big old pat on the back for a job well done. Growing up in south Florida, I saw more than my share of these guys, and I would not dare walk or swim anywhere near them. genie
