The Pink Moon, a couple days before it was full. It is called the Pink Moon not because of its color but because of a pink colored phlox that blooms in April.
Late afternoon trees at Lafortune Park.
The Library at Lafortune Park. I’ve always loved the big windows and swooping modern design.
I am linking with Skywatch Friday
Once again, this part of Texas missed out on the beginning of the Full Pink Moon, due to clouds. It was visible just before it set, however, so that’s something. Threats of bad weather keep popping up on the various weather apps, so I hope northern Oklahoma manages to miss it this time around.
…I’m glad that I don’t have the job washing those windows.
Nice swoop of the roof. The moon has the look of a cantaloupe in that pic. 🙂
I like phlox.
The library is very unique.
I admire your moon pictures, but I had never heard of the pink moon. Then again, we normally don’t have a lot of clear skies in April of a normal year, either, to see one. I like to see any library – nice to have one in a park.
You always take nice moon shots. Today’s is no exception. Have a great weekend.
Bello luna. Te mando un beso.
What a fascinating bit of information. Now I know why it’s called that. Thanks.

Stunnning captures!

I too saw the pinkish moon but did not capture them. Beautiful insights into the moon
Beautiful moon shot.
We missed seeing the Pink Moon as we had rare rain storms passing through, Tomorrow we may get another spring snow!
Looks like an interesting library.
Excellent moon shot!
What a gorgeous moon!! I missed it, but hopefully next month.
Great moon! Never seen a phlox, blooming in april…
Nice library – I always like librarys, but our smalltownlibrary is not very interesting (earlier it was more).
Have a nice weekend
Amazing pics, Specially Moon pic.
