Our World – Sunday Afternoon on Turkey Mountain

DSCN2666

Cold weather is coming but Sunday is warm. I put the Cowboys vs Jaguars game on DVR and we loaded up and drove to Turkey Mountain for a little outing on the Lollipop and Zoi trails.

The sun was out and the temperature was warm.

We saw a lot of stuff. We saw too washing machines out in the middle of nowhere. No driers though. Contact Baltimore appliance repairs to fix any kind of appliances.

We found this old bed frame in the middle of nowhere. Maybe a homeless guy was going to put in a flower bed? Logan didn’t see the humor in that.

We found these strange little berries. Heather thought they might be persimmons. I don’t know. What do you think?

Heather and Logan found an oil well and announced they were rich! I asked what about me? And they said “What about you?” What about you? Have you ever been left out of an oil deal? I know what you feel like.

The woods were beautiful Sunday. It was like a cathedral.

This is my favorite pic from Sunday. It looks like the woods are creeping up behind him and are going to swallow my only son. Of course his shirt doesn’t help.

Have you been on a good walk lately?

    Yep, those are persimmons alright.
I’m surprised that no one has taken that headboard home and made a wall hanging out of it.
Logan’s shirt is perfect for a fall stroll on Turkey Mountain.

Oh, what a fun, beautiful day for all of you!! Thanks so much for sharing!! I do agree that Logan’s shirt is perfect for a fall stroll on Turkey Mountain!! Hope you have a great new week!!

These are great family photos of the three of you and wow, Logan is getting tall! I haven’t been able to go on a good walk for a while, I miss it and am way overdue. I love that last shot also.

Yogi, you could start a consignment shop with what you find on Turkey Mountain! You’d be rich – but not as rich as Logan and Heather with the oil. What a beautiful day for a walk. (Love Logan’s shirt!) Yes, indeed, I have walked a lot this past week. Today, Bob and I walked to town for brunch – about 5 miles round trip.

Love to see your family get out and hike together. Looks like persimmons to me. I last walked in an airport. Seems I need to get out more.

What a lovely collection of pictures but what a shame people “fly tip” in such a spot. The same happens over here – why can’t people take their rubbish to an authorised tip? Love that last picture of Logan too, the trees do seem to be trying to catch up with him.

I don’t walk much nowadays but, next week, am being taken to Whitby for my 80th birthday!!! Won’t need much in the way of clothes as it’s only for a couple of days but will definitely require my stroller. My fingers are crossed for crisp days, rather than damp ones.

I too like the last photo!!! And I LOVE his shirt. But yours? Come on…the Cowboys? Boo hiss. Houston Texans or better yet, Denver Broncos. [kidding of course]

I’m jealous of your beautiful weather. Overcast skies and rain here. I’m surprised Heather and Logan didn’t want to share their new-found wealth with you! I very much like Logan’s T-shirt!

Ya, I agree. I’d head back and get that bed frame. Eliminate litter and get a piece to hang. And about the ‘flower bed’, I’m still smiling. Sorry Logan.

people…they just dump their trash anywhere. glad you all had a wonderful outing. you may not enjoy to many more unless you like to walk in the snow.

Beautiful day and scenery. Looks like you had a nice walk. Those orange “balls” look like young persimmons. Do persimmons grow in your area?
