I was driving home Tuesday afternoon and I noticed the light coming off the beams of this bank building that is under construction. I had to (I just had to!) pull off on a parking light and take a pic with my phone. I amped up the reflections off the steel with a dose of Topaz Glow and backed off about half. I’m learning that with the filters sometimes less is more.
Have you ever just had to pull of the road and take a picture????

This is a very nice image and your post processing is spot on. Yes, this time of year when I used to drive to and from work around sunrise and sunset, there were multiple times that I needed to get to the side of the road to get a great looking sunrise or sunset image. Some days I even planned on being in a certain place at a certain time and hope that the sky would reward me with a great image. That’s how we picture takers operate.
wow, I love the light and the composition in your image 🙂
Beautiful light and you are a pro with those filters! And Oh do I ever know that feeling (and so does my husband as I often squeal for him to make a photo stop.) He’s really good at doing that unless there are big semis coming up behind us. I understand that! Beautiful light here.
The streak of light on the steel is a fine touch of magic. Lovely photo.
I did..several times :)..and you got a great shot indeed 🙂
