I took this pic on Saturday morning with my Nikon AW110 point and shoot camera. I like it because it is small, waterproof, and shock proof so I take it with me almost everywhere I go especially when I go running or hiking.
So then I took the photo, uploaded it to Flickr, and moved it over to my Ipod Touch and used an app called “DistressedFX” to put a texture on it and it made everything “pop.” So I posted it on Instagram and Facebook and uploaded back to Flickr and so here we are.
More and more of my photo processing is done on my Ipod Touch. It is just a lot easier to do that than firing up the ole laptop and loaded Photoshop and trying to figure out what I need to do. Photography and editing is changing fast. Who knows what we will be doing in a few years.
Great effects on this photo! It is a wonderful street scene on its own but the extras make it very artsy. Love it!
The photo from a previous post of yours, as I stated then…it was fantastic. Now this? What a great work of art!!! Well done.
Yogi, this is simply spectacular in every way. And the fact that you can do it on an IPod touch is unbelievable. I loved the original image, but, like Anni said, this is art. Well done!
I just loaded DistressedFX on to my IPad. This is going to be great fun. Thanks for sharing the information about this great app. I do use PhotoShop Elements because it is much less cumbersome than the full version, but DistressedFX has some wonderful filters and effects. Oh, and I have a post coming up next week called, “Art Deco Canyon”. I love that phrase.
This is terrific indeed!! I love it!! Hope your week is going well!! Enjoy!!
The image photographed by you is great, but being processed it becomes wonderful!
I like this a LOT, Yogi. It never occurred to me that I could upload photos to my iPod or iPad and then use a filter on them. Both my iPod and IPad are pretty old so I don’t know if it would work .I need to investigate!
I like the original and this one too. It is hard to keep up with all the possibilities in editing.
Very artistic! I thought you labored over it for hours!
Really love this and happy to know how you did it…. Someday I hope to get better at post processing. I am stuck at a few generations ago I’m afraid.
