Last Friday was my day off, I get every other Friday off and I love it. Sweetie and like to spend the day together.
Poor SuperPizzaBoy has to go to school those days. Sorry guy, this is Mom and Dad time.
Sweetie and I had a few errands to run ourselves. For one thing I had to go to the dentist. I saw something at his office though that is really making me wonder. What do you think?
This is new, it kind of creeps me out.
He also has this in his waiting room. Now this I can deal with even though it looks a little top heavy to me. At least I don’t find it creepy.
I’m off topic. Sweetie and I got together after our errands and off to lunch we went.
We had lunch in a tea room. I had never done that before. It was great. The tea tasted good and was also beautiful.
The food was delicious also
I had a turkey sandwich. The stuff on the left is chilled rice salad. I had never heard of such and it was wonderful.
Sweetie had quiche, quiche lorraine. (Sorry since the B52’s song I just can’t say quiche lorraine.)
So filled up we traveled to the nearby Home and Garden Show at the Fairgrounds.
We saw balloon waterfalls,
The Gas Company was pushing natural gas powered cars
Beautiful Flowers
Sweetie, an Oklahoma State University certified Master Gardener had to check out their booth.
What was the highlight there? This:
I told Sweetie; “You are forbidden to tell me that Geocachers are nerds, they are nothing like the Master Gardeners.” What do you guys think? Geocachers or Gardeners, who are the bigger nerds. Tell the Truth now!
Well, school was over and we picked up SuperPizzaBoy and went out to visit his friend Nick. Nick’s family is the one with all the sheep.
Momma was in no mood for photographs on Friday. You can tell she was yacking at me about it.
So, I said fine and off we went.
It is my sweet Sister Ellen’s birthday today. If you have time please pop over to her blog here and tell her Happy Birthday. Today might be a little special because yesterday was the bridal shower for her youngest daughter (and my niece,) Jillian, who is getting married in a few months to a fine young man.
By the way, this is my 1000th post. Thanks to everybody out there who reads this blog and my fellow bloggers who have enriched my life the last three years so much. I have really discovered the kind and gentle part of the internet that I treasure. I have made a wide variety of new friends during this time and have been lucky enough to meet some of you in real life.
What a lovely day you had. 🙂 Thank you for sharing and congratulations on your long blog life!
Oh, when you talk about nerds, My Honey (the engineer) and I (the accountant) often verbally joust about which of us has more personality. 😉
Sounds like your day was simply wonderful!
Love the lamb pictures, so cute 🙂
Congratulations on your blogging milestone, I look forward to the next 1000.

What a fun way to start my day!! And what a wonderful day all of you had! I, too, love the sheep! Congratulations on your 1000th blog and I, too, look forward to the next 1000! Blogging friends have made such a difference in my life and it is the kind and gentle part of the internet to be sure. Have a great week!

Congratulations! You sure did have a wonderful day on Friday despite having to go the dentist. That lunch looked yummy and would have been my favorite part of the day!
It looks like you had a great day. Too often couples forget that marriages need tending just as gardens do.
Happy 1000th Yogi – your blog generally brings a smile to my face so, for that, I thank you:-)
From a Leeds lass in Yorkshire, England to a Yogi in Oklahoma xx
Wow! 1000 posts. That’s incredible. Congrats.
WOW! 1,000 posts – that definitely makes you a NERD, Yogi. What a full day – my feet hurt after I read your post. Now I could use some of that lunch.
So many things to comment on!!!
1000 posts?!? Holy smoke. Congratulations. That is awesome. I’ve loved watching your blog evolve over the past couple of years. =)
Gardeners are bigger nerds. PERIOD. I happen to thing geocaching is cool. I’ve never done it yet, but I still think it is cool.
I think it is great that you and sweetie try and do different things with your alone time together. Brett and I always seem to do the same thing over and over. :/
I LOVE tea rooms. Have you and Sweetie been to The Pink House in Claremore? If no, then you should soon. You will both love it.
That mouth stained glass is WEIRD. CREEPY WEIRD.
Have a great week!
Those lips at the dentist office are just one step shy of a Rolling Stones logo. I dunno, I think that maybe the hairy rocker thingy is creepier than the stained glass lips.
Quiche is probably my favourite French food, one of the few I can actually recreate in Canada. Good pick!
But the insect… yuck.
Wow! On your next day off, I want to go too…unless you’re going to the dentist again, that is. 🙂
